About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Public Relations to lead our PR team and elevate our client services. This executive role involves collaborating directly with the CEO and overseeing the public relations team to ensure top-notch service and strategic excellence.
In this role, you will drive the strategic direction for client accounts, proactively seek new media opportunities, and manage crisis communications. You'll provide coaching, insight, and support to our Directors of Communication, helping them excel in their roles and achieve outstanding results for their clients. Regular interaction with Account Managers and clients will also be key to maintaining high levels of satisfaction and service quality.
You will also work closely with the President to explore major opportunities, address crisis situations, and develop new business strategies. Building and nurturing relationships with media professionals will be crucial to expanding our network and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for client accounts and business growth.
Lead, mentor, and manage the Directors of Communication, focusing on performance and professional development.
Analyze industry trends and provide insights to enhance client strategies.
Offer guidance and support in crisis management for clients and account managers.
Regularly engage with clients to gauge satisfaction and address any issues.
Review and approve copywriting materials and client reports.
Facilitate team and client meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Partner with the President and industry experts to enhance team knowledge and skills.
Maintain high standards of quality control for PR services.
Collaborate with other performance agencies and clients to integrate services and strategies.
Expand your network by connecting with media professionals across various sectors and media channels.
Qualifications:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Strategic Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in public relations and communications.
Strong media connections, particularly in Non-Profit, Higher Ed, Government, and Faith sectors, are preferred.
