Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Telehealth Veterinary Nurse to provide remote support to our members through chat and phone communications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional telehealth services and support.
This position is fully remote, and you will report directly to the Telehealth Manager. To ensure comprehensive coverage for our members, all Telehealth Nurses will have a fixed schedule, which requires a commitment for at least one year.
Scheduled Shifts:
Saturday: 8 AM - 5 PM
Sunday: 3 PM - 10 PM
Open availability for three shifts per week between the hours of 7 AM - 5 PM
Willingness to assist with overnight coverage is a plus!
What You'll Do:
Engage with members through text-based chat and phone calls to provide telehealth services and support.
Deliver an exceptional member experience by conveying empathy and warmth in all communications.
Independently handle and resolve tasks while adhering to high-quality standards and deadlines.
Collaborate with both virtual and in-practice team members through regular communication and monthly team meetings.
Utilize your clinical training to provide personalized care to patients virtually.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of communications.
Master internal systems and tools to consistently deliver outstanding care while meeting quality and productivity goals.
Maintain a deep understanding of our memberships, services, and benefits.
Exemplify our experience standards and lead by example.
Who You Are:
You have 5+ years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or Veterinary Assistant.
You are skilled in triaging and can recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
You thrive in a startup environment, embracing innovative approaches and breaking traditional norms.
You are a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who can work independently and as part of a team.
You possess excellent communication skills and are highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
You have a customer service mindset and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
You are tech-savvy and comfortable with online tools (e.g., G Suite, Slack, Intercom, or other CRM platforms).
You are flexible and can work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.
You have a genuine passion and love for animals, especially cats and dogs!
