The 2025 Summer sourcing intern will work closely with the Sourcing Team on various projects involved in improving overall sourcing processes and systems. This person will be exposed to all facets of sourcing, will identify opportunities for improvements and automation, and develop methods for increasing the performance of overall Sourcing. This person will learn best practices and leadership skills in a global environment.

Responsibilities

The candidate will work with a mentor and the job responsibilities will include:

• Identify all possible opportunities to improve the performance of Skyworks Sourcing,
• Gather requirements from various sourcing teams / planners to design and implement improvements,
• Support Sourcing management on purchase requisition management, commercial processes and negotiation playbook setup,
• Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required,
• Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems,
• Work closely with IT and the planning world to automate process where possible,
• Training and rollout of the solution to all parts of the organization,
• Communicates effectively and proactively, engaging stakeholders across the organization to facilitate process improvements,

Required Experience and Skills

• Must be a student, enrolled in a university making forward progress towards a BS/BA or MS/Ph.D. degree, preferably majoring in Engineering, Business, Sourcing, Operations, Analytics, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Candidate with an MBA is desired.
• Possess intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, if/then).
• Previous use of SAP & Power BI would be preferred.
• Have familiarity with sourcing concepts and software.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
