Role : PL/ SQL Developer
Duration : 6 months Contract with possible extension ( Hybrid mode) C2C or W2
Location: Audubon ,PA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries, functions, procedures, and packages, along with strong knowledge in performance tuning, DBMS jobs and schedulers, collection, bulk collect and forall concepts, exception handling, indexing, and partitioning. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute effectively to our database management and application development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• SQL & PLSQL Development:
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, functions, procedures, and packages.
  • Develop and implement database triggers for automation of database processes.
  • Analyse the existing code and make changes as needed.
• Performance Tuning:
  • Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries to ensure optimal execution.
  • Ability to identify bottleneck using various techniques like AWR report , SQL Plan, DBMS Profiler etc.,
  • Monitor and improve database performance and efficiency.
• Database Management:
  • Create and manage DBMS jobs and schedulers for automated tasks.
  • Implement and maintain indexes and partitions to improve query performance.
  • Ensure proper exception handling within PL/SQL code to manage errors effectively.
• Advanced PL/SQL Features:
  • Utilize collections, bulk collect, and forall concepts to optimize data processing and improve performance.
  • Apply advanced PL/SQL features to develop efficient and scalable database solutions.
• Documentation & Best Practices:
  • Document database designs, coding standards, and procedures.
  • Follow best practices in database development, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code.
• Collaboration & Support:
  • Work closely with application developers to design and optimize database structures.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for database-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the DBA team to ensure database integrity, security, and availability.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • In-depth understanding of indexing, partitioning, and their impact on database performance.
  • Experience with exception handling and error management in PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with Oracle database architecture and best practices.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Oracle certification (OCA, OCP) is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle APEX or other Oracle development tools.
• Knowledge of other database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is advantageous.
