Job Title: Mohs Surgeon
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mohs Surgeon to join our team. As a Mohs Surgeon you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating skin cancer patients using the Mohs micrographic surgery technique. You will work collaboratively with our dermatologists, pathologists, and support staff to provide comprehensive care and achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
* Perform Mohs micrographic surgery procedures to remove skin cancer lesions with precision and minimal tissue loss
* Conduct preoperative consultations and evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical history and discussing treatment options
* Interpret histopathology slides to ensure complete removal of cancerous tissue during surgery
* Coordinate with dermatopathologists for timely processing and analysis of tissue specimens
* Provide postoperative care and follow-up appointments to monitor patient recovery and outcomes
* Educate patients and their families about skin cancer prevention, treatment options, and postoperative care instructions
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans for complex cases
Qualifications:
* Board certification or eligibility in dermatology and/or Mohs surgery
* Completion of accredited Mohs surgery fellowship program
* Current state medical license and DEA registration
* Strong surgical skills and experience in Mohs micrographic surgery techniques
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and achieving optimal surgical outcomes
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
