- Designing and executing plans for electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, in accordance with job specifications and local codes.
- Directing and overseeing the work of junior electricians and subcontractors.
- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and ocmponents to identify hazards and to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and compnonents, using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Managing maintenance procedures to maximize uptime and cost-effectiveness.
- Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining records and handling project budgets.
- Work with engineers during design, start-up, debug, and commissioning for new equipment to optimize product performance (including mechanical, instrumentation, controls, etc.).
- Collaborate directly with Operations Technicians to troubleshoot, repair and improve equipment and operations processes.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities as required (This will include instrument calibration, lubrication, replacing wear/consumable parts, inspection for wear, replace filters, calibrate and or align equipment, etc.).
- Perform predictive analysis / maintenance (This will include test equipment, vibration analysis, thermal signature analysis, mean time between failure, lubricant analysis, etc.).
- Perform corrective and emergency maintenance activities as required.
- Collaborate with engineering to determine root cause and perform failure analysis.
- Maintain needed documentation to support our instrumentation qualification, maintenance, and reliability.
- Ensure that all work / maintenance is performed per XALT Energy’s safety guidelines and per the guidelines of applicable regulatory agencies.
Qualifications arrow_right
- A valid Master Elecrician’s license, which involves having several years of experience as a journeyman, passing an exam and meeting specific educational benchmarks
- Minimum of 10 years of maintenance manufacturing experience (instrumentation, electronics, controls, mechanical, electrical, pipe fitting)
- In lieu of 10 years, 8 year of experience plus 2 years of technical training / degree
- Must have good technical skills to learn and grow, keeping current with new automation and technology
- Strong computer skills including MS office
- Be able to work non-day shift and schedule that would include afternoons, nights and/or weekends if needed
- Flexible to come in on a non-scheduled shift to support any major maintenance issue
- • Strong verbal and written communications for a wide range of audience skill sets
