Job Description

MICA Corporation is seeking skilled laborers with experience in electrical, traffic signal, and utility labor for highway construction. Work consists of digging trenches to lay pipes to pull wire for illumination poles (single and or double arms light poles; 150 - 200 ft tall poles with a circular ring on top), ITS, and Roadway Signs (large overhead and or small roadway).

MICA Corporation is seeking to fill 15 spots and has worked in the Austin area for the next couple of years. Work location will consist of two projects in the Austin area - North and South locations. Zip code 78752.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Must be local to the Austin area or surrounding.
• Hold and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Laying down pipes to pull wire and or fiber to connect items needed for illumination, above and beneath ground.
• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of relevant electrical construction experience.
• Electrical experience and conduit experience are preferred.
• Experience operating basic construction equipment.
• Heavy equipment experience is a plus.
• knowledge of ground boxes.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check with minimal infractions.
• Must be willing and able to pass a physical examination.
• Willing and able to pass drug and alcohol screenings.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and nights as needed. (Possible future travel as needed).
