Job Description
The Surfsand Resort is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our facility, ensuring a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.
This position pays $18.00 an hour, plus an additional summer bonus of $1.50 an hour through Labor Day. The required hours are Friday - Monday 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Reponsibilities:
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
- Complies with hotel safety prevention rules and techniques, including fire safety.
- Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of outdoor spaces; collects and properly disposes of trash and debris on hotel grounds.
- Sweeps sidewalks and parking lots, maintaining a clean presentation.
- Notifies supervisor of incidents that may affect normal business operations or guest service.
- Responds promptly and follows through on guest complaints in effective and friendly manner.
- Respectfully takes direction from supervisor.
- Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools necessary for grounds maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience and proficiency in operating power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
