We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to fill the position of dental sterilization technician. We are willing to train the right person, regardless of dental experience. This is a fast paced position. Must have 5 years of customer service experience and be able to work 30-32 hours a week. Must be able to adhere to our strict Dental Healthcare Professional's dress code along with our office's policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compliant with company policies and procedures.
• Create and contribute to a supportive team environment.
• Process dental instruments and patient care items through the sterilization process safely and efficiently.
• Maintain sterilization equipment, following manufacturers' maintenance guidelines.
• Turn over FIVE treatment rooms, transport contaminated instruments to the sterilization area for processing, and properly clean and disinfect treatment rooms.
• Set up treatment rooms for the next patient.
• Restock treatment rooms, sterilization area, and lab as needed.

Qualifications and Necessary Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have at least 5 years of customer service experience.
• Be able to work 30-32 hours a week.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and Infection Control
• Must be able to adhere to our strict Dental Healthcare Professional's dress code.
• Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of dental terminology and coding
• Previous dental experience
• Experience with Softdent and Dexis
• X-ray Certification (as required by the state of Arizona)
• Background in a Healthcare setting.

Work Schedule:

• 4 days a week: Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Thursday 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, and Friday 7:30 am to 1:30 or 2:00 pm. 
• 1-hour lunch break Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
