Position Purpose

The Marketing and Development team is responsible for the development and execution of the organization's global marketing and fundraising strategies. Within that area of responsibility, the team is responsible for an average annual Global revenue of $80 million. Revenue and in-kind donations are secured through an array of tactics including: major gift acquisition and stewardship; individual donor campaigns; planned gift solicitation; foundation grants; corporate and supplier partnerships; McDonald's facilitated fundraising activities and cause related marketing campaigns.

MARDEV also oversees the RMHC brand including compliance, consistency, positioning and communication across the entire RMHC Chapter system in 62 countries and regions. MARDEV creates the brand strategy and guidelines while serving as a brand consultant for the individual Chapters. In addition, the team executes Global tactics that support and increase awareness for the brand and the RMHC mission. Global tactics include: planning, development and implementation across paid, owned and earned media; digital and social media content and campaign creation; public relations; crisis communication; print advertising; content management across the website; and corporate marketing activation. The team also manages the interface between RMHC and the McDonald's Global/U.S. marketing and communications relationships to ensure continuity and promote co-brand building.

Principle Accountabilities:

The Corporate Partnerships Activation Supervisor will serve as a key member of the MARDEV team, supporting the Corporate Partnerships team with a focus on all aspects of supplier and in-kind partner and donor engagement, stewardship and activations. This person will also support the execution of successful corporate donor and partner initiatives, including cause-marketing campaigns, in-kind and financial donations to RMHC Global and employee engagement activations. This person will assist with the successful refinement and implementation of our internal stakeholder strategy.

  • Serve as secondary relationship manager for assigned donors, supporting donor engagement activities including but not limited to cultivation events and Team RMHC at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships team to develop and execute the overarching Corporate Partnership program and stewardship strategy
  • Support the development of partnership and other agreements in collaboration with the RMHC Finance team and RMHC legal counsel
  • Work closely with Corporate Partnership Managers to ensure both contractual and noncontractual partnership elements are executed seamlessly. This will include onboarding of partners, creation of ideation concepts to support national and/or global engagement activation campaigns and development of materials to support Chapter engagement and activations.
  • Support the creation of donor development materials to support all aspects of the program. This will include preparing proposals and presentations, impact reports, activation guides, collateral and other materials to be distributed corporate partners.
  • Coordinate the tracking of impact metrics and KPIs for supplier partners to ensure accurate reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the MARDEV team to ensure corporate/supplier partner objectives and priorities are being clearly communicated and corporate partner assets are managed. This will include leading bi-weekly activation meetings to discuss partnership updates, metrics, forecasts and challenges.
  • Co-lead bi-weekly calls with members of the Operations team about in-kind donation distributions, Chapter survey development, donation tracking and Chapter and program reporting
  • Serve as a liaison to 260+ local RMHC Chapters regarding all aspects of corporate/supplier activations. This will include communication about upcoming activations, in-kind donations, collection of Chapter impact stories and images, general support inquiries and troubleshooting in collaboration with the Corporate Partnerships Activation Supervisor I.
  • Supporting incoming in-kind donation inquiries. This includes conducting basic prospect research and qualification calls as needed.
  • Working with the Corporate Partnerships manager to develop and lead the process for reviewing and managing in-kind donations to Chapters. This includes oversight of our Global Donor Directory.
  • Lead the distribution and execution process of in-kind donations in partnership with in-kind donors and distribution partners
  • Manage complex deadlines and delegation of tasks to support all aspects of the program
  • Assist with tracking all donor management touchpoints and historical information in RMHC Global donor management software. Including developing a workflow system in Raiser's Edge to support implementation of stewardship.
  • Experience in managing multi-year donations and giving circles
  • Experience planning and producing cultivation initiatives at various venues
  • Excellent time-management and project management skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, fundraising, nonprofit management or related field
  • Experience working at a national or global organization that has local affiliates
  • Demonstrated understanding of the philanthropic community
  • Working knowledge of tax laws pertaining to charitable giving
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM tools preferred
  • Energy and passion for the RMHC mission
