Position Overview: As a Chuukese Freelance Translator, you will be responsible for translating various types of documents from Chuukese to English and vice versa. You will work on a project-by-project basis, ensuring that all translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and delivered on time. This role is ideal for individuals who are fluent in Chuukese and English and have experience in translation, with strong attention to detail and cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate written documents from Chuukese to English and English to Chuukese, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
  
• Review and proofread translations to maintain high-quality standards.
  
• Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of the information contained within the documents.
  
• Utilize translation tools and software as required by the project.
  
• Ensure timely delivery of completed projects.
  

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Chuukese and English.
  
• Proven experience as a translator, preferably in a freelance or contract capacity.
  
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to convey meaning accurately across languages.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chuukese and English.
  
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Familiarity with translation tools and software is a plus.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
