Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for healthcare finance? We're seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in Clayton, NM. As CFO, you will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Directors, and senior financial leaders to steer the financial direction of our hospital. Your leadership will ensure our financial operations align with our mission, values, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership: Guide the hospital's financial planning and operations, including budgeting, revenue cycle management, payroll, and accounting.
Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement policies to safeguard assets and maintain compliance with accounting principles.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present financial reports, ensure adherence to laws and regulations, and maintain accountability with federal and state agencies.
Team Management: Supervise departments such as Business Office, Medical Records, Information Technology, and Materials Management/Purchasing.
Community & Relationship Building: Foster productive relationships with financial institutions, medical staff, employees, volunteers, and board members.
Operational Excellence: Analyze data to improve financial operations, ensure safety and quality care, and manage budgets effectively.
General Duties: Commit to exceeding expectations of physicians and employees, maintain all necessary accreditations, and stay compliant with laws and regulations.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A graduate degree and/or CPA designation is preferred.
Experience: 5-7 years in hospital finance or accounting with prior experience as a Hospital Controller or CFO. Proven managerial experience and a strong grasp of hospital financial reporting, revenue cycle management, and related areas.
Skills: Expertise in financial management, accounting systems, treasury practices, and healthcare finance regulations. Strong leadership, strategic management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with all levels of management.
