Job Title: Shopify Back-End Web Developer

Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)

Company Overview:
Flipcost.com is a fast-growing e-commerce business specializing in janitorial, sanitation, and office supply products. We are seeking an experienced Shopify Back-End Web Developer to assist with system integrations, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and other back-end development tasks for our Shopify-based online store.

Position Overview:
As a Shopify Back-End Web Developer , you will work closely with our marketing and development teams to enhance the functionality of our Shopify platform, implement custom integrations, and ensure smooth EDI operations. Your role will involve managing complex backend processes that directly support the front-end customer experience, product data, order processing, and overall site performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Integration & Development:

• Build and maintain custom Shopify apps, features, and integrations.
• Collaborate with external services and APIs to integrate payment gateways, shipping solutions, and third-party applications.
• Ensure seamless EDI operations to automate and streamline communication with suppliers and partners.

Data Management:

• Oversee data synchronization between Shopify and third-party systems.
• Manage product catalogs, inventory, pricing, and order data integration.
• Optimize data flow and processing for scalability and performance.

Site Performance & Security:

• Monitor and optimize the performance of Shopify back-end processes.
• Implement security protocols to protect sensitive customer and business data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Shopify’s backend functionalities.

Collaboration with Marketing Team:

• Work closely with the marketing team to implement technical solutions that support promotions, campaigns, and other marketing initiatives.
• Support in integrating Shopify with marketing tools for analytics, CRM, and other digital marketing platforms.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Proven experience with Shopify back-end development.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs and custom app development.
• Familiarity with EDI systems and integration with Shopify.
• Proficient in JavaScript , Liquid , HTML/CSS , and other web development languages.

Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot back-end issues.
• Strong understanding of data flow, systems integration, and database management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with marketing and development teams to execute campaigns and projects.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience working in e-commerce or retail environments.
• Familiarity with Shopify Plus and experience with large-scale Shopify stores.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
